Trade balance thru energy export, PM says
Biratnagar, Aug 22 . Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has set a timeline to ensure balance in the trade of the work, to be completed in a decade from the huge trade deficit of current time.
At a cadres’ meet of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) in Biratnagar on Tuesday, the Prime Minister, who is also CPN Chairman, said that the country will generate exportable energy by the mid-June next year.
PM Oli said that Nepal would present itself in a different manner in the UN General Assembly adding that Nepal would take initiatives to further activate BIMSTEC and the SAARC.
On the occasion, Oli asked the cadres to move ahead by seriously analyzing the country’s problem and not to go against the public sentiments. “I urge the people’s representatives to be friendly with the people and concentrate on the people’s needs and expectations rather than focusing on their self service and facilities.”
During the event, Minister for Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation Barsha Man Pun said that the gap between the poor and rich would be narrowed down to materialize the journey to socialism. He added that the projects of river control and development targeting the Province No. 1 would be unveiled soon.
Also speaking at the programme, Chief Minister of the Province No. 1 Sherdhan Rai said that province government was active to develop the province as a model one of the country.
