Breakthrough in tunnel works of Rasuwagadhi hydro

Rasuwa, Aug. 20 . The construction of the tunnel works of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project of 111 megawatt witnessed a breakthrough on Monday with the development of head race tunnel works.
Chief of the project Chhabi Ghaire shared that the construction works of the headrace tunnel from the source to the powerhouse was completed before dawn on Monday.
“Tunnel works was the most difficult assignment. Now, 111 megawatt power would be generated within February 2020 with the construction of the tunnel works,” he shared.
The project with national pride was started since 2014 with the estimated cost of Rs 13.64 billion. Currently, 700 plus workers along with 33 technicians are deployed for the construction of the project works.
