Finance Minister leaves for US to participate in WB event

Kathmandu, Aug 3 . Minister for Finance, Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, left here this evening for Washington DC of the United States of America.
The visit aims to garner assistance from the World Bank to implement development programmes in the government’s priority list. The WB’s headquarters is based in the Washington DC, the capital of the USA.
The Finance Minister was invited to take part in the discussions meant to finalise the draft of WB-Nepal five-year development partnership (2019-2023).
Talking to media persons at Tribhuvan International Airport before his departure, the Minister said Nepal would do its best to pursue maximum benefits from possible assistance from the WB group for its development.
