Indian nationals arrested with smuggled gold

Kathmandu, July 25 . The metropolitan police airport security office has arrested five Indian nationals with 3.36 kilograms of smuggled gold.
Iswar Das, Awatar Singh, Amrit Pal Singh, Harmindar Singh and Rijwan Ansari were arrested after they landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport via a Thai airways plane from Bangkok, Thailand on Monday. The five people had distributed the yellow metal among themselves and concealed it in their suitcase, according to SP Dinesh Raj Mainali of the TIA police.
In current market price, the gold is worth Rs. 14.7 million. All four arrested have been handed over to the TIA customs office for necessary action.
