PM Oli directs for timely completion of Pokhara airport

Kathmandu, July 19. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the concerned bodies to complete the Pokhara airport, which is also a national pride project, within three years.
PM Oli said, “Pokhara airport has its own significance. It must be completed in time. No excuse on delaying construction is entertained.” According to him, additional land acquisition could be adopted if needed but the quality must be maintained in construction.
It was stated in a press release issued today by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
He however expressed satisfaction over the construction progress so far. He admired the role of the employees from provincial government, Pokhara Metropolis, the locals and others on it.
Even the international air service companies had shown interest on Pokhara airport, he said at a programme here, adding that the services should be ensured accordingly.
He also showed confidence that the tourism activities would also help boost economic activities in Pokhara. The PM made it clear that mega infrastructures were essential to contribute to the materalization of ‘prosperous Nepal-happy Nepali’ dream.
On the occasion, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, expressed commitment that the construction of Pokhara airport would complete in time.
