Local level to have 57,690 employees

Kathmandu, July 14 . The local level is to have 57,690 employees for interim arrangement, while there will be 45,815 employees for the centre and 16,570 for the states.
This is the conclusion made by a committee formed to finalize the number of employees required for all the three tiers of government. The organisation and management survey committee was led by Secretary at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Shanker Koirala.
The number of positions as recommended by the committee will come into force after it is endorsed by the Council of Ministers, MoFAGA spokesperson Suresh Adhikari said. Accordingly, State no. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 will have 2,808, 2,343, 2,673, 2,247, 2,597, 1,842 and 2,060 employees respectively.
