‘First Science and IT Youth Conference’ to begin from Friday

Kathmandu, June 13 . The ‘First Science, Information and Technology Youth Conference-2075’ is taking place here from coming Friday.

The conference is being held with a focus on the future role of science and technology. It will dwell on the investment in the field of science and technology in the next ten years for country’s economic development and prosperity and its subsequent consequences, according to information shared at a press conference here today.

Matters related to discovery, investigation and study being carried out by Nepali youths in science and technology would also be discussed in the conference.

Conference Coordinator Khim Panthi shared that group discussion would be held in 12 different areas including natural science, medicine and Ayurveda, engineering and material science, biology, traditional technology and use, geology, environment and climate science, agriculture and forestry.

As many as 400 youths, researchers, scientists, policy makers and science enthusiasts from across the country are taking part in the event.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to inaugurate the three-day conference which will be held at National Nature Conservation Trust premises in Lalitpur.
