‘Incorporate issues missed in policies and programmes in budget’
Kathmandu, May 24 . The National Assembly members have viewed that the issues missed in the policy and programmes the government brought recently should be incorporated in the budget.
At the NA meeting today, CPN’s Dinanath Sharma however urged other parties’ leaders to accept the government policy and programmes brought with the objective of the prosperity wholeheartedly.
He claimed that the policy and programmes were clear on health, education, infrastructures, and energy development.
On the occasion, NC’s Radheshyam Adhikari suggested the government to focus forthcoming budget in the way it empowers local levels. He commented that the policy and programmes was brought, reflecting centralized mentality and was therefore disappointing a one.
Terming the government’s policy and programme a ‘hodgepodge document’, he said the policy and programme did not lay any emphasis on environment.
Also speaking on the occasion, National Assembly (NA) members, Nanda Chapagain, Ramlakhan Chamar, Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi, Jeevan Budha, Dilkumari Rawal Thapa and Anita Devkota, demanded the government to lay emphasis on the agendas directly associated to education, health and people.
They also urged the government to include in the budget the agendas that were missing in the policy and programme.
Likewise, members including Beena Pokharel, Kabita Bogati, Yuttol Tamang, Durga Prasad Upadhyay, Rajkumar Kunwar, Taradevi Bhatta and Balaram Banskota stressed the need to implement the policy and programme.
