Separate Act relating to Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track drafted

Kathmandu, May 2 . Defence Ministry has prepared a draft of a separate act related to Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track to sort out legal and technical hassles, said the Ministry.
The separate act means to discourage influence of a sector on another sector taking important decisions relating to the project, said Minister for Defence Ishwor Pokharel at a discussion with secretary and other representatives of the Ministry held at the Ministry today.
“We will work dedicatedly as the national pride project is an important concern for the government. The political leadership and bureaucracy should not be confused with regard to the project,” he said.
Defence Secretary Bishnu Prasad Lamsal pointed out that the Act is essential to create conducive environment for Nepal Army to work unhindered on the project, while saying consultations were on with respective ministries on the Act draft.
The Army is working on the 76.2 kilometers road from Khokana of Lalitpur to Nijgadh of Bara.
