Rasuwa, April 29. Minister for Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation Barsha Man Pun has made onsite visits of different under-construction hydropower projects in Rasuwa district on Friday and Saturday.
Minister Pun visited Upper Trishuli 3 ‘A’ of 60MW, Rasuwagadhi 111 of MW, Lower Sanjen of 42.3 MW and Upper Sanjen of 14.8 MW, and directed the workers and technicians to complete the projects in the given deadlines.
Minister Pun and other top officials of the Ministry and Nepal Electricity Authority visited the district on Friday and Saturday to inspect the hydropower projects.
The construction work of Upper Sanjen Hydropower has been completed by 70 per cent while such progress is 65 per cent in Lower Sanjen, according to Executive Director Kiran Shrestha.
Likewise, Managing Director of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company Madhav Koirala told Minister Pun that the progress of the company was 60 per cent so far.
Secretary at the Ministry Anup Kumar Upadhyay and Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Kulman Ghising were also present on the occasion.
After the inspection visits, Minister Pun attended a news conference organized by Press Centre in Syaphrubensi of Rasuwa and said that license of the companies those failing to advance the construction works would be scrapped.
