NATA to participate in international tourism fair
Kathmandu, April 16. Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is to participate in the Nepal China Sales Mission-2018 Tourism Fair taking place in Beijing of China today.
The three-day international tourism fair is taking place to promote tourism of Nepal.
The fair offers opportunity for all participating countries including Nepal to inform about the prime tourism destinations and discuss with the travel agents and tour operators there, shared NATTA Chairperson CN Pandey.
It is shared that 10 Nepali travel and tour companies and representatives of Nepal Tourism Board are participating in the fair. Nepal will have separate stall wherein Nepali style, tradition and culture are reflected to draw the attention of Chinese tourists, Pandey added.
The target of influx of 1.5 million tourists can be reached by 2020 if tourists from neighbouring India and China are attracted, Pandey said, adding that more information about Nepal’s Lumbini and Mount Everest would be imparted on the occasion.
Efforts will also be made to open up Nepal-China border checkpoints.
NATTA has been taking part in international tourism fair that has been held in China since 2005.
