PM Oli inaugurates Rara-Karnali Tourism Year 2075

Mugu, April 14.  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the Rara-Karnali Tourism Year 2075 amidst a programme here on Saturday.

Addressing the programme, Prime Minister Oli said Rara is a must-see place once in a lifetime. “If you want to see Chhayanath, do it in your youth; it is difficult with the onset of the old-age,” he said.

The PM reiterated that Rara would be made a major tourism destination, Karnali which is rich in terms of availability of medicinal herbs would be made an ‘organic province’, the Karnali highway would be upgraded, priority would be given to the construction of the road linking Surkhet to Mugu, air services to Karnali would be made regular and the beauty and purity of Rara would be maintained.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Prasad Adhikari said that Rara and Shey Phoksundo would be connected to the tourism circuit.

MMinister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel said illiteracy would be eliminated in two years and the school enrollment national campaign spearheaded this year. Fifteen thousand domestic and foreign tourists have reached Rara today alone.
