Himalayan Bank purchase equity of STC

Kathmandu March 14- Himalayan Bank Limited has purchased 20% equity share of Smart Choice Technology (STC) Pvt. Ltd. Himalayan Bank also serve as settlement bank for transactions carried out through STC network associated ATMs and POS.
SCT Pvt. Ltd. is an ATM and POS service provider company to various banks and financial institutions of Nepal. Company has expanded its network to India, Bhutan and China.
Presently, 59 financial institutions' 985 ATMs are operating under SCT network. Daily cash transactions worth Rs. 135.2 million are carried out through the network.
