Dahal to initiate unity government talks with Deuba

Kathmandu March 8- UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said he will initiate talks for the formation of national unity government with newly-elected Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba once he returns to the Capital.

At a programme at Narayani municipality in Chitwan on Tuesday, Dahal said the major parties should be united on the implementation of the constitution and the reconstruction of the country ravaged by the earthquake.

Dahal, who also heads the High Level Political Mechanism, said the major three parties—Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist)—would sit for talks and discuss the formation of unity government with participation of other parties.

On the occasion, he also revealed that the unity among the Maoists parties was in its final stages.
