NEPSE crosses 1,300 points this week

Kathmandu March 4- The bull run being witnessed in the stock market throughout the week, with the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index breaching past records to cross the threshold of 1,300 points on Thursday, last trading day of the week.

This week, total of 143 companies's 4 million 754 thousands 580 units of shares  worth of Rs. 2 billion 790 million 980 thousands were traded in 13 thousands 464 transactions. Transaction volume of this week has diminished by 1.39% from last week's volume.

NEPSE index has boosted by 17.09 points to reach 1,376 points in weekend while sensitive index has increased by 3.1 points to 280.74 points.

Based on transaction amount, Nepal Investment Bank has highest transaction volume of Rs. 192.8 million followed by Rural Micro Finance Development center's Rs. 153.9 million, Nepal Gramin Development Bank's 125.8 million, Shikhar Insurance's 117.4 million and Nepal Investment Bank's Promoter share's 96 million.

Similarly, based on share quantity, Nabil Balance Fund's 548 thousands units of shares has been transacted during the week. Likewise, as per no of transaction, Shikhar Insurance got the maximum transactions of 955.

This week, NB Insurance's 80 thousand 803 units of right shares, Sanima Bank's 5 million 106 thousands 297 units of bonus shares, Kailash Development Bank's 2 million 148 thousands 776 thousands units of bonus shares, Pacific Development bank's 210 thousands 816 units of bonus share, Unique Finance's 156 thousands 100 bonus share and Neko insurance company's 317 thousands 770 units bonus shares have been listed in NEPSE.
