Government failed to address fuel shortage, public still in chaos to acquire fuel

Kathmandu February 28- Even after end of border blockade, supply of fuel from Indian Oil Corporation has not normalized due to which public are still having difficult time to acquire fuel for their daily consumption. A little hope that PM K.P Sharma Oli's visit brought has been shattered as country is still reeling under acute fuel shortage.
At present, IOC is supplying 35% of total demand of fuel. Nepal has demand of 1.1 million petrol and 2.7 million diesels. As per Mukunda Ghimire, spokesperson of NOC, IOC is refusing to extend supply citing 'higher command'.
