Consumers to get full cylinder of LPG
Kathmandu February 23– The Ministry of Supplies has suspended the provision of half-cylinder cooking gas and allowed bottling plants to refill and dispatch full-cylinder (14.2 kg) gas to the market from Monday.
In the wake of crisis of cooking gas due to short supply from India, the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies had decided to distribute half-cylinder cooking gas following a ministerial-level decision in last week of October.
The move was aimed at serving more people during the crisis. After the supply eased from India, bottling plants had been pressuring the government to suspend the provision, stating that they had been unable to unload the gas bullets imported from India due to lack of cylinders.
