NEPSE creates a new high as index closes at 1,291.81 points with turnover above Rs. 718.7 million

Kathmandu February 22- The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange mounted by 12.89 points to close at 1,291.81 points. NEPSE index opened at 1278.95 points and was in  upward trend.

The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 718.7 million where more than 1.6 million unit shares were traded through 2,664 transactions.

Sensitive index and the float index went up by 3.15 points and 0.88 points respectively.

Banking sector saw an increment of 20 points today. It settled at 1,197.44 points.

Banking, Development Banks, Insurance and others landed in green whereas Hotels, Hydropower and Finance landed in red.
