Net profit of United Insurance decreased by 35.52%

Kathmandu February 16- Private sector general insurance company United  Insurance's net profit has decreased by 35.52% to Rs. 9.3 million in the second quarter of current FY which was Rs. 14.4 million in the corresponding period of previous FY.

Met life's income has decreased in compare with last year's corresponding period by 42.30% to Rs. 15.9 million and its expenses has also decreased by 45.45% to Rs. 6.6 million. During the period company has increased insurance premium by 19.35% to Rs. 148.7 million which was Rs. 124.5 million last year. Company has paid Rs. 87.9 million claim amount during the period which was Rs. 39.5 million in last year. Company has issued 24 thousand 924 insurance policies and has compensated to 944 claims.

Company has EPS of Rs. 3.70, P/E ratio of 106.75, net worth per share of Rs. 184.25 and liquidity ratio of 2.77%.
