Net profit of Laxmi Bank increased by 77%

Kathmandu February 15- Operating with the paid up capital of Rs. 3 billion 39.2 million, net profit of Laxmi Bank increased by 77.57% to Rs. 325.8 million in the second quarter of current FY which was Rs. 185.7 million in the corresponding period of previous FY.
Deposit of the bank has increased by 20.21 % to Rs. 41billion 378.8 million while bank has invested 33 billion 699.4 million in loan and advance. Net interest income of the bank has increased by 39.56% to Rs. 642.5 million and operating profit of the bank has also increased by 74.03 % to Rs. 440.3 million. Bank has maintained balance of Rs. 115.9 million in its provision and has been able to recover Rs. 54.1 million bad debts.
Bank has bad debts of 1.10% and risky asset of 11.40%. EPS of the bank is Rs. 19.96, P/E ratio of 28.81 times, liquidity ratio of 26.22% and net worth per share is Rs. 153.77.
