Investors to get cash dividend in their bank account

Kathmandu February 11- Investors might not have to wait up in long queues in order to get their cash dividend, instead they will receive their cash dividend in their own bank accounts as per the instructions given by Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to all the companies listed in Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

SEBON Chairman, Rewat Bahadur Karki stated that companies distributing cash dividend will be directed to send cheque of cash dividend in their respective banks with the details of name, a/c number, dividend receivable and total amount which will ease the process of receiving dividend by the investors.

Earlier, board has directed to deposit bonus and right shares in investors'd-mat account in order to complete CDS system.

During the FY 070/71, among Rs. 2 billion cash dividends that were announced by banks and financial institutions, Rs. 260.6 million are still with BFIs itself. Investors all over the nation will be benefited by the latest direction of the board.
