Net profit of Bank of Kathmandu diminishes by 0.47%

Kathmandu February 5- Operating with Rs. 2 billion 671.4 million paid up capital, Bank of Kathmandu's second quarter net profit has diminished by 0.47% to Rs. 329.1 million which was Rs. 330.7 million in the corresponding period of previous FY.

Deposit collection of the bank has boosted by 22.41% to Rs. 41 billion 811 million from Rs. 34 billion 155 million last year. Loan advance of the bank has increased by 5.48% to Rs. 32 billion 286.4 million which was Rs. 30 billion 607.5 million last year. net interest income in this period has decreased by 0.68% to Rs. 697.1 million which was Rs. 701.9 million last year. Operating profit during the review period declined by 2.63% to Rs. 500 million which was Rs. 513.6 million last year.

Bank has balance of Rs. 30 million in its provision and has been able to recover Rs.2.7 million bad debt.

During the period, EPS of the bank stands at Rs. 24.65, P/E            ratio is 23.74 times, net worth per share Rs. 156.72 and liquidity ratio is 31.43 times. Bad debt of the bank has increased by 2.81% to 3.93 and risky asset has increased by 2.12% to 13.93%.
