IME and Global IME Bank felicitate victorious Nepalese Football Team with cash reward
KATHMANDU February 1: IME Ltd., Nepal’s No.1 Remittance Company and Global IME Bank have jointly felicitated the victorious national football team who have just recently won the prestigious Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2016 with a cash reward of NPR 25,000/- each.
Amid a function organized at ANFA House, Satdobato, Executive Chairman of IME Limited and Chairman of Global IME Bank Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal felicitated the team and handed over the cash reward to each member of the squad consisting of 23 players, 2 coaches, 1 team manager and 1 physio in the form of savings accounts at Global IME Bank. In total of 27 savings accounts have been opened at Global IME Bank in the name of each member of the squad who also received debit cards for account operation.
Chairman Mr. Dhakal congratulated the team and said,” We are extremely happy and proud to felicitate our young football team who have brought so much of joy and inspired the whole country bagging the Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2016 with the display of exemplary teamwork and flair.” Chairman Mr. Dhakal also declared that Global IME Bank will be providing zero minimum balance savings account along with Debit Card free of charge to all national team players. The Executive Director of IME Ltd. Mr. Hem Raj Dhakal also congratulated the team members along with Global IME Bank Acting CEO Mr. Janak Sharma Poudyal and IME Limited CEO Mr. Suman Pokharel. ANFA Acting President Narendra Shrestha thanked IME Limited and Global IME Bank for coming forward to encourage the national football team and expressed the need for the corporate sector to support Nepali football to scale newer heights of success.
Speaking at the function, the captain of Nepali national football team Biraj Maharjan and Coach Bal Gopal Maharjan also thanked both the institutions for the recognition and expressed their confidence in performing even better for the country in the coming days.
