Net profit of Laxmi Microfinance increased by 3 times

Kathmandu January 28- Operating with paid up capital of Rs. 100 million, Laxmi microfinance Ltd has earned Rs. 24.4 million net profit in the second quarter of current fiscal year i.e. 3 times growth from Rs. 7.65 million in the corresponding period of last year.
Company has kept Rs. 32.9 million in reserve fund. Deposit of the bank has increased by 2 times to Rs. 286 million which was Rs. 125.7 million last year. Lending of the bank has also increased by 2 times to Rs. 991.4 million which was Rs. 459.4 last year. Net interest income of the company has grown by 2 times to Rs. 63.9 million which was Rs. 28.4 million last year. Interest income of the company amounted to Rs. 85.7 million while interest expense has totaled Rs. 20 million. Similarly, operating profit of the company has increased by 3 times to Rs. 38.2 million while it has kept Rs. 6.1 million in provision.
EPS of the company is Rs. 44.51, P/E ratio is 40.22 times, net worth per share is Rs. 129.93 and liquidity ratio is 12.32%.
