Dangal named YSEF vice-chair

Kathmandu January 15- The Cabinet on Wednesday appointed Prem Dangal as a Vice-chairman of the Youth and Self Entrepreneurs Self Employment Fund (YSEF). Dangal had earlier served as a member of the National Planning Commission.
YSEF was established in 2009 with an aim of carrying out self-employment programmes, and providing orientation, vocational and skills development trainings to unemployed youths. YSEF helps provide unemployed youths with collateral-free loans from banks, cooperatives and financial institutions at low interest rates.
Under the scheme, up to Rs200,000 is provided for an individual and up to Rs5,000,000 for a group (maximum 25 persons) at low interest rates to run commercial farming, agro-based industry or service-oriented self-employment programme.
