Nepalese currency depreciated by 8%

Kathmandu January 13- Over the period of one year, Nepalese currency has depreciated by 8% in compare with dollar.
Comparing the exchange rate from January 28, 2015 and the exchange rate given for Wednesday, value of Nepalese currency has shown quite a downfall in compare with US dollar. On January 28 of last year, NRB designated exchange rate (selling rate)of dollar at Rs. 98.54 whereas NRB has designated exchange rate of Rs. 107.33 for Wednesday.
According to 'Aviyan' daily, commercial banks are already transacting at Rs. 107.25 per unit dollar on Tuesday. On Wednesday, commercial banks may transact the exchange rate more than 107.33.
Dollar had recorded highest exchange rate with Nepalese currency by Rs. 109 on September 4 2013.
