Manpower agency manage held while trying to escape after cheating foreign job seekers of millions
Kathmandu January 5- The Teku-based Metropolitan Crime Division arrested manager of manpower agency, who is accused of cheating foreign job seeking youth of fortune from the Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday.
The suspect identified as Bijaya Khadka, a permanent resident of Jhapa district, was trying to escape Nepal when he was taken in custody from the country’s only international airport. He is associated with the Gwarko-based Nealco employment agency, police said.
Khadka had accumulated at least Rs 3.9 million — Rs 6,50,000 each from six individuals, including Sagar Nepali, Narendra Sherstha, Prakash Amgain, Kalaish Kumar Pakhrin and Kumar Shrestha — promising them of sending to Singapore for a training with job guarantee at ships after the completion of training.
Khadka has been handed over to the Metropoltitan Police Range, Lalitpur, for further action.
