Debesh Rai launches first album

Kathmandu December 30- Nepali Tara, Nepal's very own hit musical reality show has been discovering talent from all over the country. Recently, the third installment of Nepali Tara swept the nation with and produced prolific singers. The hunt for Coca-Cola Nepali Tara 3 started from 2nd September in Dharan back in 2014 and proceeded to move on to Narayangarh, Butwal, Pokhara, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu where thousands and thousands of hopeful singers came to audition.

Debesh Rai clinched the title of the first runner-up in the third season of Nepali Tara. Following the epic win, Debesh Rai took no time to release his album. The album is aptly titled “And the journey begun…”. Not only is Rai an excellent crooner, he is equally versed in the arts of arranging and composing music. The album was jointly launched by Debesh Rai’s mother-Dew Kumari Rai, Prakash Gurung, Ranjit Acharya, and Jems Pradhan in a grand ceremony organized at Nepal Sanskritik Sangh, Dillibazaar.

Along with the album, Rai also launched music videos of “Kati Mitha Kati Nyana timra preet ka barsat haru”, "Nasa lagecha” songs of the album at the event. There are a total of six songs in this album. The lyricists include impressive names such as Suman Pokhrel, Prakash Gurung, Ram Bdr. Kone, Krishna Koirala,and  Sitaram Sucharu .The composers of the album are Bedh Nidhi Poudel, Prakash Gurung, Suresh Adhikari, Ganesh Rijal, Saran Joshi and The Canary Band.

The respected panel of Chief Guests present in the show comprised Prakash Gurung, Ranjit Acharya, and Jems Pradhan. The participants of Nepali Tara Season 3 were also present at the Rai said, "It gives me immense joy and pride to be able to launch my own album. Nepali Tara has opened up so many avenues for me and for that I will be forever grateful. I hope that I will always have the love and the support of the public. "
