PM insisted on more export of Nepali textiles
Kathmandu December 29– Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has welcomed the United States’ decision to minimize the duty on import of textiles made in Nepal.
In a meeting with representatives of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and the Nepal Chambers of Commerce (NCC), PM Oli has requested the entrepreneurs to increase the production of such textiles.
PM Oli also assured them to aid business sector by resuming the border operation that has been obstructed by the ongoing Tarai unrest and the border blockade.
The businesspersons were also urged to make their products affordable, yet globally competitive and qualitative. Adding to that, the Prime Minister also asked them to incorporate and flourish agro-businesses simultaneously. “We have the raw materials, using them in our business sectors will make us productive and independent.”
