General investors to get glimpse of market depth from today

Kathmandu December 27- From today onwards, general investors may see market depth of the capital market. In the history of nearly 22 years, general investors are allowed to watch market depth in Nepalese capital market.  NEPSE had decided to make such arrangement to make capital market more transparent and informative toward general investors. After completion, general public can easily analyze the market depth from the website of NEPSE while market is trending.

After the system is set up, public investors will be able to get all the information regarding the market while market is open.  Market depth provides information regarding purchase and sale of stock of any company, market price of the stock, total demand, total supply including other information related to share transactions.  Based on the information, investors can make their investment decisions in time.  It will help to minimize risks of possible losses. Investor all over the world has access to market depth which is believed to make capital market strong and transparent.

Currently, investors receive information through floor seat but have not access to market information while market is trending. NEPSE was seeking permission with Securities board of Nepal to publicized market dept for last 2 years. Securities board granted such permission recently allowing the public investors to dive into market depth before taking any investment decision.
