Women protest in Pokhara against disrespect of President Bhandari

Kathmandu December 22- The Aama Samuha of Pokhara on Tuesday organised a protest assembly saying that the obstruction by Madhesi Morcha cadres during President Bidhya Bhandari’s visit to Janaki temple was disrespect to women.  

Demanding action against the culprits, the women group submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Oli through local administration today.

Members of eleven different Aama Samuha near Lakeside in the tourist town demonstrated against purification of temple after Bhandari’s visit and termed the act as condemnable.

The woman chanted slogans demanding action against those involved in the incident and stressing on the need to respect the president. “We condemn such act because disrespecting president means disrespecting all Nepali people,” Aama Samuha’s Chair Durga Devi Pahari said, “Such an act is disrespect against country and nationality.”   Source: TKP
