Minimum temperature dips to 1.5 in Kathmandu valley

Kathmandu December 22- Temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has dipped to 1.5 degree celsius as per the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) on Tuesday.

According to MFD, the maximum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours is recorded as 15.5 degree celsius.

MFD further states that the Capital will be partly cloudy with relatively 100 per cent humidity.

On Monday, the MFD has recorded temperature of Kathmandu Valley at 3 degree celsius.

As the Northern Hemisphere marks Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, people are covered in warm and thick woolen clothes to fight the chill.

The lowest minimum temperature that MFD recorded was on December 31, 1977 with mercury plummeting to -2 degree celsius.
