SEBON asks for clarification
Kathmandu December 22– Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has asked 11 brokerage firms to clarify the reason for not submitting their first quarterly report as provisioned in the Securities Businessperson (Stock Broker, Securities Dealer and Market Maker) Regulations, 2008.
The firms asked to provide clarification include Sweta Securities, Kohinoor Investment and Securities, Sipravi Securities, Premier Securities, Sipla Securities, Sagarmatha Securities, Primo Securities, Opel Securities Trading, Arun Securities, Shree Krishna Securities and Dipshikha Dhitopatra Karobar Co, as per a statement issued on Monday.
Clause 35 (2) of the regulation has stated: “The Stock Broker, Securities Dealer and Market Maker shall be required to submit quarterly report on format as specified by the Board from time to time within 30 days of completion of quarterly period and if there is any variation on matters mentioned in previous quarterly report, such information shall be required to be disclosed along with such report.”Source: THT
