Banking investment in turbine and alcohol increases

Kathmandu December 18- As banks and financial institutions are having tough time in credit expansion due to blockade, loan in hydropower turbines, alcohol and domestic equipment manufacturing sector has been seeing a high growth in comparison with others. A public report published on Wednesday by NRB on the country's 4-month financial situation has shown over 10% increase of lending in this sector.
During the review period, in the total of 2.5% loan advance in this sector by bank and financial institutions, has seen more than 66% growth. Similarly, besides banks and financial institutions, investment in other financial institutions has increased by 30%, loan investment under limitation of gross period in credit card that charge interest is increased by 25% and loan investment in private non-financial institution has increased by 22%.
