UDMF protest in Janakpur as President Bhandari arrives

Janakpurdham December 15- President Bidya Devi Bhandari has arrived at Janakpur to attend the traditional festive rituals of the Ram-Janaki Vivaha Utsav on Wednesday.
President Bhandari will be arriving at the Ram-Janaki temple of Janakpurdham shortly for the same.
President Bhandari, who arrived at the holy temple boarding a helicopter, is said to be accompained by Chief of the Army Staff of Nepal Army, General Rabindra Chhetri, and the Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae.
Security preparation for the President was beefed for her arrival.
Meanwhile, the agitated cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has been staging protest in different parts of the district from the morning.
It is reported that police fire several rounds of tear gas to control the mayhem.Source: THT
