NEPSE boosted by 16.51 points this week

Kathmandu December 11- This week, NEPSE index boosted by 16.51 points to close in 1119.35 points in the last day of trading. Sensitive index which measures trading of 'A ' listed companies jumped by 3.13 points to reach 241.43 points.  Political influence is again a dominant factor for investors this week. Investors were high with the expectation of Tarai unrest and Indian blockade being resolved.

This week, Nepal stock exchange recorded trading of 14 thousand 253 transactions worth of Rs. 1 billion 860 million 919 thousands from 2million 984 thousands 820 units of shares of 154 companies.  Trading amount has increased by 27.50% this week than previous week.

Last week, from 10,863 transactions, 2 million 836 thousands 30 units of shares were traded from which Rs. 1 billion 460 million 250 thousands worth of capital operation took place.  

In sub group list, commercial bank group increased by 7.46 points, development bank group increased by 51.6 points, finance group increased by 28.27 points, hotel group increased by 22.12 points, hydro group increased by 19.3 points, insurance group increased by 106.54 points whereas 'other' group decreased by 2.34 points. This week, trading group and manufacturing and processing group has not seen any changes.

Based on transaction amount this week NIC Asia came first with Rs. 142 million 210 thousands. Similarly, Nabil Balance fund 1 is in front place on the basis of number of shares transacted with 219 thousands unit of shares.  Considering number of transactions, Api power got the highest number with 3247 share transactions.

Nepal Stock exchange opened up for five days of trading this week. As usual no trading took place on bonds of both organizational and governmental.

This week 128 thousands bonus shares of Country development bank, 540 thousand bonus shares of Prudential insurance company and 250 thousands 800 bonus shares of Siddhartha insurance company were listed in NEPSE.
