Gold price rises in domestic market while silver is stable

Kathmandu December 06-Gold price increased by Rs 100 pertola and silver price remained stable over the week, during November 29 to December 4.

The market opened on Sunday with gold price fixed at Rs 48,200 pertola. Price of the precious yellow metal tumbled by Rs 200 atola to be traded at Rs 48,000 pertola on Monday.

Bullion price, however, increased by Rs 400 pertola to be fixed at Rs 48,400 atola on Tuesday. Gold price witnessed a marginal drop of Rs 100 pertola on Wednesday to be traded at Rs 48,300 atola.

On Thursday, bullion price again slumped by Rs 300 atola to be fixed at Rs 48,000 pertola. Gold price again went up by Rs 300 pertola to settle at Rs 48,300 atola on Friday — the last trading day of the week.

Likewise, price of silver remained stable in the six trading days of the week. The market opened on Sunday with silver price fixed at Rs 675 pertola.

Price of the white metal dropped by a marginal five rupees atola on Monday to be fixed at Rs 670 pertola and remained unchanged till Thursday. Price of silver again went up by five rupees pertola on Friday to settle at Rs 675 atola. Source: THT
