Agreement between Citizens Bank and Aftab Currency Exchange ltd regarding remittance service
Kathmandu December 1- Citizens Bank International Ltd and Aftab Currency Exchange Ltd have signed an agreement to provide remittance services from fifteen countries. The customers in Nepal can receive remittance sent through banking system.
As per the agreement, customers can receive remittance sent from the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, France, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Netherland, Denmark, Portugal, Greece, and other European countries. The remittance sent through Aftab Cuurency Exchange from aforementioned countries can be collected from all 56 branches of Citizens bank international and 3000+ authorized agents.
Mr. Bodh Raj Devkota, Assistant CEO of Citizens Bank, and Mr. Aftab Asaraf, BoD member of Aftab Cuurency Exchange, signed on the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
The bank has been providing remittance services in agreement with Small World Financial Services of the U.K., Al Ahliya Money Exchange Bureau, Al Ansari Exchange, Express Money Services and Al Dahab Exchange, of U.A.E. Besides, the bank has been working closely with domestic remittance companies to dispatch the remittance from Western Union, Money Gram, I.M.E., Prabhu Money, Himal Remit, City Express, Reliable Remit, J.M.E, Nepal Remit, Easy link, Best Remit, Prithivi Express, Samsara, Sewa Express, and CG money.
The bank also aims to expand the remittance service by signing the similar agreements with other foreign companies. Source: Sharesansar
