Indian SSB accepts border firing incident

Sunsari Nov 25-  Indian Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) Satana Post in-charge Ranbir Singh has accepted of opening firing  by their security personnel at Bhantabari of Sunsari on Wednesday morning.

Sunsari Police Chief Sanjay Raj Sharma informed that Singh confirmed the shooting through a telephone call and said that it was wrong of his personnel to open fire in Nepal controlled land early this morning and necessary action will be taken against those involved in the incident.

A local who was bringing fertiliser in a cycle from of Supoul district in India was stopped by the Indian SSB at Dasgaja area where the dispute escalated and the SSB opened fire at the individual in Nepali side of the border. Locals in the area have said that the Indain SSB entered Nepal controlled area and opened fire.

Meanwhile, Ashok Yadav who received injuries to his right hand during the firing is reported to be in serious condition and is receiving medical attention at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Science. Another injured Naresh Yadav has received bullet injuries to his waist and Saroj Yadav has been hit in his thigh. The fourth injured, Manoj Yadav, has returned home after receiving medical treatment at Inaruwa District Hospital.Source: TKP
