Net profit of Cosmos Development increased by 2 times, earned 2.5 million

Kathmandu November 9- Cosmos Development Bank increased its net profit by 2 times in the first quarter of current FY. With the paid up capital of Rs. 43.7 million, it earned Rs. 2 million 599 thousands net profit in the first quarter of current FY, which was Rs.1 million 153 thousands last FY.
Reserve of the company has increased by 4 times to Rs. 13.4 million from Rs. 2.9 million last year. Deposit of the bank increased by 60.66% to Rs. 489.5 million which was Rs. 304.7 million last year. Lending of the bank has increased by 39.28% to Rs. 389.3 million from Rs. 279.5 million last year.
Meanwhile, net interest income has increased by 33.22% to Rs. 6.9 million which was Rs. 5.5 million last year. Interest income and interest expense of the company has increased by 46.19% to Rs. 15.7 million and 67.03% to Rs. 8.7 million respectively. Similarly, operating profit of the company has increased by 2 times to Rs. 3.7 million from Rs. 1.8 million of last year.
In the first quarter of current FY, EPS of the company (annual) is Rs. 23.76, P/E ratio is 14.35 times, net worth per share (annual) is Rs. 129.18 and liquidity ratio is 30.45%.
Likewise, risky assets has rested in 12.70% with degrowth of 2.22% and bad debt has increased by 0.16% to 0.29%.
