US concerned by critical shortages of essential supplies
Kathmandu November 5- The United States has expressed deep concern over the critical shortages of essential supplies in Nepal resulting from a volatile situation along the Nepal-India border.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the US embassy in Kathmandu called on everyone to redouble efforts to resolve the crisis.
The US embassy has stated that the international donor community is unable to deliver vital relief and shelter supplies to many vulnerable communities. The statement also urged everyone to contribute in creating positive conditions for meaningful political dialogue to ensure that the constitution accommodates the aspirations of all Nepalis.
“The United States stands ready to assist the people and government of Nepal as they continue along their democratic path and rebuild from the April earthquake,” read the statement.
