Banks cut off banking services hour

Kathmandu October 1- Undeclared embargo of India has affected Nepalese banking sector too. Due to the shortage of petroleum products, financial institutions have cut off banking services provided to customers. Banks have informed Nepal Rastra Bank about the difficulty in rendering services during load shedding which has also amplified due to the unavailability of petroleum products.
Nepal Bankers Association requested Governor Dr. Chiranjibi Nepal to make necessary arrangement for easy availability of petroleum products to provide banking services during load shedding. They informed Governor about not being able to provide services to the customers due to scarcity of petroleum products as well as load shedding.
Banks have discontinue evening counter services and cut off regular services to an extent.
