Quota System in fuel distribution from Monday

Kathmandu September28. Nepal Oil Corporation, NOC to distribute fuel on the basis of quota system from Monday onwards.NOC adopted this system to ensure availability of reserve fuel for long time after India disrupted on supply of Petroleum products.
NOC's spokesperson Deepak Raj Baral informed that per week 3 liters of fuel for a motorcycle and 10 liters of fuel for private four wheelers will be made available. Similarly, in case of public transportation, ten liters for a taxi, 15 liters for a micro-bus, 20 liters for a mini-bus and 30 liters for a bus per week has been quoted.
Public vehicles can refill fuel on their operation day based on odd/even number system. NOC has made necessary provision to keep details of fuel refilling in the vehicle owner's blue book.
Baral estimated that after implementing quota system, the fuel reserve will sustain for 15 days otherwise it may not sustain even for a day. Similarly, airlines companies are requested to save aviation fuel and refill enough to visit nearby airports. Source: Naya Patrika Daily
