NEPSE surged up by 18 points, turnover increased by 32%

Kathmandu, June-1 The NEPSE index increased by 18.49 points or 1.99 % to close at 889.33. Similarly sensitive, float and sensitive float increased by 2.14%, 2.05% & 2.2% respectively.

Opening at 872.07 level this afternoon it started gaining points within the initial hour and reached 897.98 level till mid-trading hour and thereafter closed at 889.33.

Among the sub-indices banking, development bank, hydropower, insurance and others gained 2.78%, 0.15%, 4.09%, 1.25% and 2.91% respectively whereas finance sector dropped by 0.14%.

CHCL, EBL, BOK, LUBL are among the top stock turnover, NBF1, NBL, LUBL, NHPC are among the top stocks by share traded. CHCL, BOK, PRVU are among the top stocks by number of transactions with 132,104 & 80 number of shares respectively.

BUDBL, WDBL, OFL are among the top gainer with 9.88%, 9.88% & 7.41% step up in price . LFLC, MBBL, CBBL are among the top losers.

Altogether 691,694 unit shares of 92 scrips were traded through 1,986 transactions worth Rs 273,076,640.
