Finnish government aid on sanitation sector

Babiyachaur (Myagdi), March 4 -The Finnish government is set to flow financial assistance of Rs 150 million to improve water and sanitation sector in Myagdi.
An agreement was signed on Monday with District Development Committee, Myagdi to implement the second phase of Western Nepal Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Project implemented with Finnish government assistance.
The agreement to this effect was signed by Local Development Officer of Myagdi, Bishnu Prasad Sharma, and Project National Coordinator, Narayan Prasad Shrestha, amid a programme organized in district headquarters, Beni.
LDO Sharma said the Finnish government has agreed to provide with the assistance of Rs 150 million for the project for five years.
The assistance will be channelized for sanitary behavioural change, expansion of drinking water facilities and construction of improved stove for environment conservation at grassroots level.
