Constitution writing should be first priority: Koirala

Birgunj, Feb. 28 – Leader of the Nepali Congress Sujata Koirala has said that constitution writing should be the first priority of the political parties and the government.
At a news conference organised by the Nepal Press Union, Parsa, here today, Koirala said that the internal dispute surfaced in the political parties should not affect the constitution writing process.
She said that the government and political parties should focus their attention to promulgate federal inclusive democratic constitution as per the people's interest.
Stating that the NC, CPN (UML) and UCPN (Maoist) should move ahead with consensus, collaboration and unity, Koirala said that responsibility of the government and ministries could not be greater than the constitution.
She also expressed dissatisfaction over geographical, gender and ethnical imbalance in the incumbent cabinet.
