UML prepares list of would-be ministers

Kathmandu, Feb. 25 – The CPN (UML) has prepared a list of people it is sending as ministers in the Sushil Koirala-led government.
Party vice-president Bamdev Gautam prepared the list as per the decision of Standing Committee after consultations with the top leaders of the party.
As per the list, Gautam will represent the party in the government as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Mahendra Bahadur Pandey as Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms Radha Gyawali as Minister for Energy, Bhim Acharya as the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khagaraj Adhikari as the Minister for Health and Population, Karna Bahadur Thapa as the Minister for Industry, Lal Babu Pandit as the Minister for General Administration, Purushottam Poudel as the Minister for Youth and Sports, Dal Bahadur Rana as the Minister for Land Reform and Hari Parajuli as the Minister for Agricultural Development and Cooperatives.
Pandey said the nominees are preparing for the oath taking ceremony after the party office informed them of their nomination.
