Street food festival in Biratnagar on March 1 and 2

Biratnagar, Feb 13 – The 'Birat street food festival' 2014 is to be held in Biratnagar on coming March 1 and 2 with the objective of promoting tourism in the industrial city.
Apart from various local delicacies the festival will also comprise display of culture, art and costumes of various ethnic groups in the region.
It is being organized jointly by the Eastern Regional Hotel Entrepreneurs' Association and Biratnagar Association of Travel Agents (BATA).
This is the second street festival going to held 12 years after the inaugural one, according to BATA Chair Babish Kumar Shrestha.
The festival will be divided into 60 different stalls and is expected to draw in some 30,000 people.
Food delicacies of more than 24 local ethnic groups will be part of the street food festival, said festival Coordinator Reema Shrestha.
