Huge quantity of betel nuts confiscated

Bhadrapur (Jhapa), Feb. 13 –  Police here have confiscated a huge quantity of betel nuts worth Rs. one million at Mechinagar-10 in the district from different eight rickshaws while them were on the way to be smuggled across the border, police said.

 

A petrol team of police confiscated some 10,500 kgs betel nuts on Wednesday night, said Kankarvitta Area Police Office.

 

Police have forwarded the confiscated goods to Mechinagar Customs Office.
