Tourists arrival from eastern checkpoint up

Jhapa, Jan 22 – The inflow of tourists from eastern checkpoint of Nepal, Kakadbhitta, has seen an abrupt increase.
As many as 5,651 tourists had entered Nepal in 2013. According to the Immigration Office in Kakadbhitta, Bangladesh tops the list in sending highest number of tourists to Nepal in 2013.
Total 1,188 Bangladeshi nationals entered Nepal via the eastern checkpoint.
In 2012, some 4,747 tourists entered Nepal via Kakadbhitta.
